ASDA has great pleasure in presenting a special screening of a work in 
progress, 55 minutes of the 1 hour documentary:

Just Punishment

Just Punishment is a story about life & death.

In March 2004, a 23 year-old Australian was sentenced to death on drug 
charges by the High Court of Singapore.

Just Punishment follows the trial of Van Nguyen as his lawyers unravel 
the constitutional discrepancies of his sentence.  His mother faces the 
possibility of her son's execution while Van grapples with the law.

The film also looks at the wider issues of the law, justice and the 
relationship between the individual and the community in  different 
cultures.

Producer Liz Burke and Writer/Directors, Kim Beamish and Shannon Owen 
will be there to answer your questions about making this film and to 
participate in wider discussion with the audience.  This is a great 
opportunity to discuss filmmaking with fellow filmmakers in an open, 
relaxed environment.

precedes at 6.30pm - all welcome!
