Please do not send the books for the National University of Timor to the Post Office!!!!!!!

The call for books is still on - but the drop off point has changed - I am in the process of finding out just where this is. I have the details but I have yet to confirm - I will let you know as soon as this information is confirmed.

The weekly faculty newsletter at my uni - the current one issued today - had this call for books message in it, but it turns out that the offer has expired! The post office is not supposed to be accepting books (although they accepted mine today!) because the offer was only on during the crisis (how long ago was that?!?) and the army is no longer taking supplies and the NGO is being charged for airfreight!!!!!!!!! (ouch!)

I am very, very sorry for this mess - I accepted the message as reliable due to its source - and passed in on to all my friends as well as this e-list, but it wasn't reliable, and I am desperately trying to fix this debacle as quickly as possible, so as the NUT can still get the books it does still desperately need.

I will keep you informed.
