New Uranium Mine Must Be Stopped
ALLOW me a space in your newspaper to inform the Australian Company
at Langer Heinrich that we do not want to die because of radioactive
dust and radon gas.
The uranium tailings damage the lining of the lung and increase the
risk of developing cancer when breathed in.
It can also affect reproductive health.
We are just 1.8 million people in Namibia.
Why do we need a "suicidal" employment created for us? Why are they
not doing it in Europe? They think Namibia is easy meat? No, just
stop it and find somewhere else.
We are sick and tired of this Government's corrupt practices.
They just make any business deal without consulting the affected
people who voted for them.
What is uranium for? Nuclear weapons again? We do not want war!
