Observing the Preparation of the Police in Anticipating the Removal of the Satgas Papua Office, i.e., DKIJ Building

There is no Comparison with the Troops Build up, if possible people will be murdered

The days pass through and deadlines to remove the Satgas Papua Office have gone. We have not yet seen the preparation of the police troops at Local and Regional levels to empty the DKIJ Building being used by Satgas Papua until now. How is the preparation of the Police troops to clean-sweep Satgas Papua from DKIJ building?

A NUMBER of systems to empty the DKIJ building is actively being prepared by police at elite level. Even all troops are ordered to stay on alert to secure all people in Jayapura and also further into villages like Arso (border villages with PNG, ed) and Bonggo (the stronghold of the West Papua National Liberation Army - ed). Here is the report from our observation on the preparation to remove the Satgas Papua office and also according to the statement from the Kadispen (Police Information Department) and Commander of Jayapura Police Resort.

According to the agenda of various important meetings within Papua Regional Police elites, in fact the existence of the DKIJ building is not for Satgas Papua. Therefore, the Regional Police of Papua is committed to empty the building. However, the timeline is not yet set up, there is no deadline anymore.  The Resort Jayapura Police Commander (Kapolres Jayapura) Superintendent Drs. Daud J. Sihombing SH or Kadispen Papua Police Superintendent Pol. Drs. Zulkifly AR have not yet confirmed the deadline. According to Kapolres Jayapura he is determined to empty the DKIJ building even though without mobilising the troops for the removal. According to Kapolres, the building is an asset of the government being misused by Satgas Papua. "Wah, it is a secret. We cannot tell you how to remove it, because members of Satgas Papua also commit criminal acts such as repress the people, threaten the people and so on." "But we will do all that we can according to the procedures of Indonesian laws," Kapolres told Cenderawasih Pos (Cepos) yesterday. After check and recheck in fact the police has mobilised the police in Jayapura and other villages like Arso, Bonggo etc. The criminal acts being committed by anyone can be wiped out from here. Even the Kadispen explained that the power of the police is like a calm water that can destroy people (an Indonesia saying for very dangerous even though it appears to be nothing is happening - ed). The purpose is to secure the people in this region.  Even though it appears that there is no special preparation in public eyes, the key to vanish criminals in this region is standby to start. If there is anyone acting to disturb the security, the police is ready like bees in its nets to attack anyone that attacks or disturbs the people. Even if we observe carefully, two trucks always standby at the Regional Police Headquarter at the moment. This big troop can blow up any time, but the Police is taking notice the efforts to empty the DKIJ building through persuasion approach. The important thing is the people are not disturbed and panic, but we are asking everybody to secure each region. (This indicates that the Police is recruiting militiamen throughout Papua to defend against Papuans as it happened in West Timor -ed) Kapolres asked the people not to panic about what is going to happen in relation to the plan to empty the DKIJ building. The number of Police and TNI (army) far more than what the Satgas can do to us. "Ah, that is only a water in your mouth when you brush your teeth!" Kadispen said who acknowledged that what the police will do always according to the law in Indonesia.

Even there looks only the "Dalmas Troops", but every night the police elites always gather together and they can be seen having special meetings. According to one of the police elites Cepos contacted recently said, "We are ready to open the arms gudangs (place where they lock the arms) anytime if there is anyone that create riots exceeding the limits that are given to them.

The Police appear to be calm, but they have a strong power to act and vanish those who create panics and break the Indonesian laws. (to be continued in next edition)
