My Heart so True, by DS, August 2002
Note from a Papuan Irish-Tribesperson
This poem does remind me of how human beings have come to
the point of understanding and value that all beings are equal and
have the same rights as us human beings. It tells me of how great
and serious journey ahead, waiting for us to go through, stepping on
human ignorance and greed, teaching each other that we are not alone
in this planet, we have friends and fellows that share her love
and guardian.
We need human beings to begin the mission, and this is a word for
a mission towards that path.
Looking forward to see what will come next from this
mission.
Blessings on behalf all communities of beings in West Papua
My heart so true
I entrust to you
To guard and mind
Until he returns
A light still burns
Inside my soul
Teach him the way
Of how things should be
So that he can tell us all
How far we did fall
From the original plan
That was entrusted to Man
By the beings who knew
The destruction we could do
If we choose the path of greed
And ignored those in need
Both humans and non humans
are crying out for help
from the realms so deep
their voices now sound meek
I know you can show him
What he already knows
And what we have all forgot
Through generations or greed and neglect
Keep him safe and warm
Away from the harm
That I know you face
You and your race
You know he is special
I felt it when I first met him
You chose wisely
He is vivacious and lively
And can do so much good
As he knows he should
He and you were
Meant to meet
To carry out his huge feat
I do not know the plan
The Gods chose for this man
Although you probably
As they are closer to you
But sometimes I feel them too
Telling us to remember
That man is just a member
Of a clan made up of non-humans and man
