7. PAPUA 

General Situation 

The Attorney General's Office sent an ad hoc team to Papua Monday (8 Apr.) to investigate the death of two pro-independence students (while in police custody) and two policemen in December 2000, known as the Abepura incident. Team leader Putu Sutedja said he was confident the team would be able to solve the case.
